TECHNOLOGY GEEKS UNITE
So Liz and I both show up to the same meeting at school that is all about doing next year's Teacher Return Week ONLINE. How cool is that? Well, the whole Teacher Return Week Online, not the me and Liz showing up to the same meeting. Liz and I laughed at the fact that we both showed up at the same voluntary meeting. The AP who was running the meeting continued to give us really weird looks as we got excited when she mentioned Podcasting and making videos. We both chimed in with "You could do some vodcasts as well!" See, total geekiness. I think it would be a fun way to apply what we've learned in class, as well as get some other teachers involved in the technology they may not be up on yet. Fun! Hopefully I actually get to create something, because that would be all sorts of AWESOME! :)

Now you two can have a chance to be "teacher leaders" at your school. Next year you'll be relaxed and have the time to implement what we've learned into this online experience. What an awesome idea to have the Teacher Return Week Online!
ReplyDeleteHooray for geekiness! Perhaps you could even share some of the stuff you made for class with your coworkers. I'm sure they would get a kick out of seeing Bonnie in your PSA!
ReplyDeleteSeriously! And modeling it with the staff will be a great way to teach it to them without "training" them, and perhaps they will apply it to their own design. Wonder-Geek Power, Activate!!
ReplyDeleteWow! The next thing you know, you'll both be up for the very highly coveted award..."District Teacher Leader of the Year" ;)
