Now that my kids have set up a study schedule for themselves, we're re-visiting it. We spent some time in stinger talking about their plans. The key questions we discussed were as follows:
1) Are you actually sticking to the plan?
2) Did you allot enough time for studying?
3) Did you over allot and now are running short on time for other classes?
4) What effects are you seeing from studying a little bit each day?
For the kids that weren't sticking to their plans, they found that they didn't have a lot to say (of course!). For the kids who were studying every day, they said they found it easier to study right before the test, and both their test grade and quiz grade were better than the previous chapter. For most of them, they found that they were studying about 10-15 minutes a day, and then they didn't have to cram the night before. Since they were better prepared, they were less anxious for the test, which was also beneficial to them. So all in all, most of my students decided this was the way to go. YAY!
